Pastor David L. Solomon was ordained an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 1992 and has been the Senior Pastor of Community Nazarene Church since 1996. Prior to coming to CNC, he served as Associate Pastor of the Beulah Church of the Nazarene in Brooklyn, New York for 12 years. During that time, he was also the President of the Metro New York District's Nazarene Youth International, and he also served on the District Advisory Board. He is currently the Eastern Region Representative for Black Ministries in the Church of the Nazarene.
Pastor Solomon serves on the Wyandanch Raising Implementation Advisory Board, is a member of the Leadership Committee in the Hamlet of Wyandanch, is the Chairman of Suffolk County EOC’s National Week of Prayer for the Healing of HIV/AIDS, and is the Vice President of the Wyandanch Christian Clergy Association. He has also served as the Secretary of the MLK Health Care Center’s Advisory Board. Pastor Solomon is a member of the Executive Committee of the NAACP Central Long Island Branch.
In 2018, Pastor Solomon was honored by the Positive Men of Wyandanch. He was also honored as the Community Leader of the Year by the Delano Stewart Wyandanch Plaza Association.
Pastor Solomon is a Contributing Writer for the Church of the Nazarene’s Holiness Today magazine.
He and his wife, Judy, are the proud parents of three children and the proud grandparents of eight grandchildren.
