CNC is affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene and is an active member of the Wyandanch Christian Clergy Association. It was founded in 1950 by the late Rev. Walter Eugene Hazard and a small group of men and women desiring to start a church in the Wyandanch, Long Island area. It is the third oldest church in Wyandanch and still stands today at its original location at 58 Cumberbach Street.
CNC was led under the anointed leadership of the late Rev. Hazard for forty seven years before he retired. In 1996, CNC called Rev. David L. Solomon to be its Senior Pastor. Since then, Pastor Solomon has built on the foundation laid by the CNC founders by providing strong and sensitive leadership to a growing congregation in a community that has undergone numerous changes. Between implementing new ministries, and upgrading the 58 Cumberbach Street facility, under Pastor Solomon’s leadership, CNC continues to thrive!
